Saint Stan's Reopens

After parishioners held a vigil for 1150 days, Saint Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic Church in North Adams, Massachusetts celebrated its first mass on Palm Sunday April 1, 2012. The church was closed in December of 2008 by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield and recently ordered reopened by the Vatican.
I had covered the vigil over the years, even sleeping in the church along with the vigilers. When I got word that their efforts had paid off and the church was going to be reopened I felt I of course had to be there for their first mass.
