2012 Head of the Charles Regatta

I spent part of the day photographing the 2012 Head of the Charles Regatta today. There was a lot of ground to cover since the course stretches for 3.2 miles along the Charles River. Here is a selection of some of my images.

Going for the Gold

With local Needham hometown girl, Aly Raisman going for gold in this year's Summer Olympics I've been spending a lot of time in Needham covering the local crowd watching as she competes. I was able Photograph her grandfather Marty look on nervously as well as go to the gym where she once practiced (Exxcel Gym in Newton) and photograph the young gymnasts watch her compete. I have to say, it was a fun assignment!!!

Super Send-Off

I photographed the New England Patriots send-off celebration today at Gillette Stadium. Talk about excitement! The crowd was ecstatic! Over 15,000 fans showed up.

2012 Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year, Clare Danes

Today I photographed the annual Harvard University Hasty Pudding Theatricals Woman of the Year parade. The 2012 Woman of the year was Clare Danes. I hope you enjoy the images. I was on the upper level of the press truck with a good friend of mine, Bizuayehu Tesfaye who was shooting for the agency WENN. I mainly shot with my 300mm lens until the end of the parade when I jumped off the truck and had to change my lenses as I ran through the crowd in hopes of getting a close up shot of her. Mission Accomplished.
